<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic document transport device having an energy saving mode in which a power consumption can be suppressed as much as possible. <P>SOLUTION: There is provided the automatic document transport device which operates in a normal mode and the energy-saving mode, the automatic document transport device including a main body part, a cover which forms a transport path for document together with the main body part when closed and exposes the transport path when opened, a first detection part and a second detection part which detect at least one of the states that a document is at a transport start position of the transport path and the cover is opened, and a power supply control part which powers on the first detection part and the second detection part in the normal mode, and powers on the first detection part and powers off the second detection part in the energy-saving mode. The power control part changes the mode from the energy-saving mode to the normal mode when at least one of the states that the document is at the transport start position and the cover is opened occurs. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
