<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly install a piston in a cylinder block, while keeping an end surface of a semicircular arc-shaped end part of a connecting rod in a high-quality state by simple means.SOLUTION: A guide rod 125 inserted into a female screw hole 45 of the semicircular arc-shaped end part 42 of the connecting rod 40, is inserted into a cylinder bore 11, and the female screw hole 45 of the connecting rod 40 is inserted into the tip of the guide rod 125 in a state of holding the guide rod 125 in a home position, and the piston 30 is pushed in the cylinder bore 11 while following after the guide rod 125, and the semicircular arc-shaped end part 42 is seated on a crankpin 25 of a crankshaft 20. Afterwards, the guide rod 125 is retreated from the inside of the cylinder bore 11, and a connecting rod cap 47 is fastened to the semicircular arc-shaped end part 42 of the connecting rod 40.</p> |
