Disclosed are an installation apparatus for a stern tube and a method thereof. The installation apparatus for a stern tube comprises: a block holder wherein a ship block of a ship is mounted; a supporter member installed in the block holder to support a side surface of the ship block; a boring jig installed in the block holder and installing a boring machine to implement boring operation inside the ship block; and a hydraulic fitting machine installed inside the ship block by pressurizing the stern tube.
