The present invention relates to an aquarium having a height-adjustable plate. The aquarium of the present invention comprises: a water tank which stores water; a cover which is formed above the water tank; a plate which is placed at an inner lower end portion of the water tank with sand or pebbles placed thereon, and includes a plurality of holes formed to let fish excretions or floating materials pass therethrough; a lift which is formed at the cover or an edge of the water tank to move the plate up or down; a water discharge unit which has a discharge port formed at the bottom surface of the water tank to discharge water stored in the water tank, and a discharge pipe connected to the discharge port formed at a lower portion of the water tank; and a water supply unit which has a filter which is connected to the discharge pipe and purifies water discharged from the discharge unit, and supplies water purified through the filter to the water tank. According to the present invention, fish excretions or floating materials are moved to the bottom of the aquarium to maintain water quality clean; plates are moved up or down by a lift to enable easier water replacement and cleaning for the aquarium; and fish excretions or floating materials along with water are discharged through the water discharge unit at the bottom surface of the aquarium, and discharged water is purified through a filter to be circulated so as to maintain clean water quality for a long period of time. |
