<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projector capable of enhancing contrast of a projection image and causing a change in brightness by lighting control to be hardly recognized visually. <P>SOLUTION: A dimmer 6 constituting a projector 1 comprises a pair of dousers 68 that is symmetrically disposed about an optical axis of a light beam emitted from a light source device and partially shields the light beam emitted from the light source device by rotating. The pair of dousers 68 comprises: base portions 681 extending substantially perpendicular to the optical axis in a state that the base portions 681 are positioned at maximum light shielding positions where light shielding amounts of the light beam emitted from the light source device are maximum; first inclined portions 682 that are connected to end portions of sides of the base portions 681 close to other douser 68 and are inclined toward light incident sides as being closer to the other douser 68; and second inclined portions 683 that are connected to end portions of sides of the first inclined portions 682 close to the other douser 68 and are inclined toward light emitting sides as being closer to the other douser 68. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
