<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a discharge lamp that can suppress noises and have excellent starting performance and a discharge lamp device. <P>SOLUTION: The discharge lamp includes a burner BN having an inner tube 1 with a light-emitting part 11 and an outer tube 4 installed to cover the light-emitting part 11, and a flange FL that can hold the burner BN so that the light-emitting part 11 may be located at the front end side, and the flange FL is held by a reflector. The flange FL includes a metal part 6 and the metal part 6 has a potch part 75 as a contact part that can contact the reflector. The burner BN includes a metal band 5 which is installed to come along the outer surface, and the metal band 5 is electrically connected to a metal part 7. Argon is sealed in the outer tube 4, and the metal band 5 and the potch part 75 are electrically connected to a grounding, while a high voltage pulse of positive polarity is supplied to the burner BN when starting. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
