The present invention relates to a portable device for diagnosing skin conditions, and a method for performing skin care using the same. The portable device for diagnosing skin conditions, which enables a user to carry the same, comprises: a skin capturing unit which captures an area of the skin of the user to generate a skin image for the area of the skin; and a skin analyzing unit which sets one or more skin trouble types to be determined by each area of the skin, applies a region extracting mode set according to the skin trouble types to extract one or more troubled regions from the skin image, and analyzes each troubled region based on skin trouble data stored according to the skin trouble types to determine skin conditions. According to the present invention, provided is the portable device for diagnosing skin conditions, which allows a user to easily check his or her skin conditions, thus the user can check his or her skin conditions anytime, anywhere without temporal and special constraints, and also receive information related to suitable skin care products or skin care methods. |
