PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery superior in battery characteristics.SOLUTION: In a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery, an electrolyte contains: a salt capable of producing cations of alkali metal, alkali-earth metal or aluminum; and an organic solvent having a hetero element. Supposing that of the intensities of peaks from the organic solvent, the intensity of a peak originally coming from the organic solvent is "Io", and the intensity of a peak resulting from the shift of the original peak is "Is" in vibrational spectra of the electrolyte, the peak intensities "Io" and "Is" satisfy the following relation: Is>Io. In the nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery, a negative electrode active material includes: silicon and/or tin; and carbon. |
