378,116. Galvanic batteries. SOC. ANON. DES ACCUMULATEURS MONOPLAQUE, 77, Boulevard Marceau, Colombes, Seine, France. May 16, 1931, No. 14538. Convention date, May 16, 1930. Drawings to Specification. [Class 53.] Battery plates are separated by means of electric bands applied under slight tension to the dry plates ; the tension is not substantially more than is required to keep the bands in place during handling, and disappears when the plates are immersed in the electrolyte. The positive plates should have a larger area than the negative plates, so that a lateral, lower, or central part of the positive plates is not opposite to the negative plates, and the distance between two horizontal elements of the grid should not be substantially less than the distance between adjacent plates. |
