PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To extend a durability lifetime of a friction fastening element while suppressing a reduction in performance when the friction fastening element is expected to reach the end of the durability lifetime before the assured travel distance is reached.SOLUTION: A method for managing a durability lifetime of a friction fastening element, comprises: an accumulative damage calculation step (Figs. 2 to 5); a durable life estimation step (step 2) of estimating a critical travel distance Lmax where the accumulative damage (f) of the friction fastening element reaches a use critical value 1; a life extension control starting step (Fig. 1) of starting life extension control for delaying progress of the accumulative damage when determining that the critical travel distance Lmax is shorter than an assured travel distance La; and a life extension control step (Figs. 12 and 13) of dividing a travel distance up to the assured travel distance La into a plurality of travel segments, delaying the progress of the accumulative damage in a stepwise manner every time the plurality of travel segments are changed over, and directing a changing characteristic of the accumulative damage (f) with respect to a travel distance L toward the assured travel distance La.
|
