The present invention relates to a method for preparing L-type 2,3-butanediol using a recombinant microorganism, and more specifically, to a method for preparing L-type 2,3-butanediol using a mutant microorganism, which deletes an enzyme gene engaged in preparing meso-type 2,3-butanediol, and amplifies an enzyme gene engaged in preparing L-type 2,3-butanediol. According to the present invention, the L-type 2,3-butanediol can be produced in high yield by culturing the mutant microorganism.
