The present invention relates to an ocular treatment apparatus and a method for operating the same. The ocular treatment apparatus includes: a treatment beam generation unit which generates a treatment beam; a beam delivery unit which forms a path through which the treatment beam, generated by the treatment beam generation unit, is projected to a treatment area located on a fundus; a monitoring unit which emits a detecting beam along a path through which the treatment beam is projected and detects state information of the treatment area based on interference information of the detecting beam reflected from the treatment area; and a control unit which controls operation of the treatment light generation unit based on the state information of the treatment area detected by the monitoring unit. |
