The present invention relates to a magnetic security transmission platform supporting different kinds of media and to a method for operating the same wherein compatibility can be provided by enabling an RF card, an NFC mobile terminal, and a beacon in an NFC method, which is not compatible with a magnetic security transmission method, and different kinds of media which use a local area communications method equal to the NFC method to be used in an MST method. The magnetic security transmission platform comprises: a local area communications unit (400) which uses, as a medium, an NFC reader (200) for reading different kinds of media in the NFC method by using the RF card and the NFC mobile in the NFC method or a mobile connected to a magnetic security transmission (MST) platform (1000) in a local area communications method and reads different kinds of media in the local area communications method; a magnetic security transmission (MST) unit (300); and a control unit which controls the NFC reader (200) and the MST unit (300). |
