<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pellet supply apparatus capable of metering the amount of pellets, and varying the supply amount when necessary. <P>SOLUTION: The pellet supply apparatus includes: a pellet housing 42 having a hopper; a metering mechanism 43 having an air cylinder 54; and a pellet transfer mechanism 44 moving the pellets by air. The metering mechanism 43 includes: a metering member 53 having a metering chamber 60; and a pellet reservoir 55. When the metering member 53 is at a first position, a pellet supply hole 62 is blocked by an upper wall 51. When the metering member 53 moves to a second position, the metering chamber 60 is made to communicate with the pellet supply hole 62, and thereby the pellets in the pellet housing portion 42 drop into the metering chamber 60. When the metering member 53 moves again to a first position, the pellets in the metering chamber 60 drop into the pellet reservoir 55. The pellets in the pellet reservoir 55 are transferred to a supplied portion via a pellet transfer pipe 32 by air jetted from an air flow hole 61. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
