<p>A gaseous-fuel leak detection device that can detect a gaseous-fuel leak on the high-pressure side of a pressure-reducing valve in a gaseous-fuel supply passage that extends from a gaseous-fuel tank to a gaseous-fuel injection valve. Said gaseous-fuel leak detection device is provided with the following: a cumulative fuel-injection-amount computation means that computes a cumulative fuel injection amount, i.e. the cumulative amount of gaseous fuel that has been injected via the abovementioned gaseous-fuel injection valve; a leak-threshold setting means that uses the aforementioned cumulative fuel injection amount and the pressure of the gaseous fuel on the high-pressure side of the abovementioned pressure-reducing valve to set a leak threshold for determining the presence or absence of a gaseous-fuel leak; a pressure-change computation means that computes the rate of change of the pressure of the gaseous fuel on the high-pressure side of the pressure-reducing valve; and a fuel-leak determination means that determines there to be a gaseous-fuel leak if the aforementioned rate of change is higher than the abovementioned leak threshold.</p> |
