<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an IPS system liquid crystal display device having the reduced number of layers, in which disconnection of a video signal line due to a liquid developer in pixel electrode patterning is prevented. <P>SOLUTION: A liquid crystal display device includes: an ITO which forms a video signal line 20 and a pixel electrode 106 formed on a gate insulating film 102; a pin hole formed in the ITO; and a resist 200 for patterning the ITO, formed so as to cover the image signal line together with a pixel electrode pattern. The resist is formed so as to cover the image signal line, preventing the image signal line from being invaded and disconnected by a liquid developer at resist development. The ITO is then etched and formed so as to cover top surfaces and side surfaces of the image electrode and the image signal line. The disconnection of the image signal line due to the liquid developer in the ITO patterning can be thereby prevented. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
