<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the welding quality of a workpiece composed of a plurality of panels. <P>SOLUTION: The workpiece W composed of a plurality of panels P1-P3 is pressurized (FU, FL) by a pair of electrode tips 16, 21 of a spot-welding gun. The spot-welding gun includes a sub-pressure arm, and a pressure piece 27 provided with a pressurizing surface 28b is provided at a tip of the sub-pressure arm. In spot welding, the pressurizing surface 28b is pressured onto the workpiece surface at a sub-welding pressure Fαto make the main welding pressure FU lower than the main welding pressure FL. According to this, the welding quality of the workpiece W composed of the panels P1-P3 can be improved. The pressure piece 27 is connected through a torsion bar, and the pressure piece 27 is displaceable in a twisting direction of the torsion bar.
