The present invention relates to a device to reduce standby power by using a latch relay, capable of minimizing consumption power for the operation of a controller and a relay to block standby power of home appliances. The device comprises an input part (10) inputting information for the reduction of standby power of a home appliance (50) including a standby current value; a current sensing part (20) sensing a value of a current, flowing into the home appliance (50); a controller (30) outputting a blocking signal to block the standby power when the value of the current, flowing into the home appliance (50), is smaller than a standby current value of the home appliance (50) after comparison between the standby current value of the home appliance (50) and the value of the current, flowing into the home appliance (50); and a latch relay operating part (40) blocking a standby current, flowing into the home appliance (50) by turning off a latch relay (41) through the block signal of the controller (40). |
