<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure a round-trip delay time between any packet transfer devices in a network without deploying probe devices. <P>SOLUTION: The delay estimation device includes a round-trip delay calculation section that estimates a round-trip delay between a first packet transfer device and a second packet transfer device from: a first time when a first packet in a first flow of transmission from the first packet transfer device to the second packet transfer device passes through the first packet transfer device; a second time when the first packet passes through the second packet transfer device; a third time when a second packet in a second flow of transmission from the second packet transfer device to the first packet transfer device passes through the first packet transfer device; and a fourth time when the second packet passes through the second packet transfer device. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
