<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cylinder liner, along with a method of manufacturing the cylinder liner, capable of suppressing a manufacturing cost while properly securing a binding strength between a cylinder block body and the cylinder liner by properly setting a circumferential groove depending on the required binding strength. <P>SOLUTION: A first circumferential groove 15 having a cross section in a substantially omega shape is formed on a range A from one end 10a of the cylinder liner 10 to a range 10A of an axial center part 10c where a comparatively large binding strength is required, and a second circumferential groove 20 having a cross section in a substantially J shape is formed on the range 10A from the axial center part 10c to another axial end 10b where comparatively low binding strength is required. The binding strength with the cylinder block body 50 depending on the required binding strength can be properly secured. The cylinder liner 10 has a comparatively simple shape, and suppression of the manufacturing cost of the cylinder liner 10 can be achieved. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
