<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fender protector capable of absorbing and preventing inconvenience caused by a difference in thermal contraction, and capable of permanently maintaining the installation relationship between a bumper and the fender protector. <P>SOLUTION: A pair of fixing points 7 (one fixing point is shown) for fixing a flange part 1a of a bumper 1 via clips 8, are formed on a support panel 3 of the fender protector. A recessed part groove 10 as a difference absorbing part 5 for absorbing thermal deformation of the fender protector 2 caused by thermal change, is formed between the pair of fixing points 7. An engaging part 6 is formed between the recessed part groove 10 and the respective fixing points 7 for holding the flange part 1a for engagement. The held engaging part 6 can slide on the flange part 1a. An opening 11 penetrating through a panel part 2a is formed in an end part of the recessed part groove 10. A difference caused by the thermal deformation between the bumper 1 and the support panel 3 is absorbed by deformation of the recessed part groove 10. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
