PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable amplitude control to be exerted without having to incorporate a variable attenuator satisfying a wide range of amplitudes, thereby making it possible to heighten efficiency and reduce power consumption.SOLUTION: An antenna device includes: an independent variable and excitation phase calculation unit 11 which, by using an evaluation function F consisting of a gain evaluation value Fand an interference evaluation value F, calculates an independent variable of function xwhich fits within an amplitude control range and an excitation phase &phgr;of a plurality of element antennas 6; and an amplitude calculation unit 12 which calculates an excitation amplitude Aof the plurality of element antennas 6 from the independent variable x.
