<p>There is described a braking unit (1) for selectively stopping one or more items (4) advanced by a conveyor (2) along a transferring path (P); the unit (1) comprises:
- a first and a second braking element (12,13) arranged on opposite sides of the conveyor (2) and facing each other;
- actuator means (14) which can be selectively activated for moving the first braking element (12) towards the second braking element (13) so as to clamp the item or items (4) to be braked between the first and second braking element (12,13); and
- lever means (15) connecting the actuator means (14) to the first braking element (12) and extendible towards the second braking element (13) as a result of the thrust exerted on the first braking element (12) by the item or items (4) to be braked.</p> |
