PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seal ring for rotation which can lubricate lubricating oil all over the seal face, and can reduce a leak amount.SOLUTION: In the seal ring 1 having a plurality of grooves 2 with ends at least at one of side faces, one of the grooves 2 with ends has an inner port 2i1 opened to the side of an inner edge 4 of the seal ring, another groove 2 with ends has an outer port 2o1 opened to the side of an outer edge 5 of the seal ring, an outer end 2i2 of the groove 2i with ends having the inner port is within a distance of Ta from the inner edge 4 of the ring, and an inner end 2o2 of the groove 2o having the outer port is within a distance of Tb from the outer edge 5 of the ring. In the seal ring 1 for rotation, when a distance between the outer edge 5 and the inner edge 4 is T, the following formula: T<Ta+Tb is established. |
