<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately alter post-driving time of a fixing part according to content of image formation to secure effectiveness of decreasing temperature difference between each area and the other of a fixing roller in a rotation shaft direction while realizing shortening the post-driving time.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus 1 comprises: a fixing part 13; a fixing temperature detection sensor 133 for detecting a temperature in an end part area of a fixing roller in a rotation shaft direction; a control part 100 for controlling drive of a fixing heater 131 according to the temperature detected by the fixing temperature detection sensor 133; and a post-driving time calculation part 101 for calculating post-driving time by subtracting a correction coefficient according to conveyance conditions of recording media to the fixing part 13, where the post-driving time is calculated according to size of the recording media used for successive image formation at an image forming part 12. The control part 100 allows the fixing part 13 to execute a post-driving operation by using the post-driving time calculated by the post-driving time calculation part 101.</p> |
