<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent lateral streaks that occur every rotation period of an image carrier, and suppress the number of drive sound that occurs when control is performed to intermittently move the image carrier multiple times during a non-rotation period and then stops the image carrier. <P>SOLUTION: A control unit can change the number of times rotation stop operation is performed, which is for temporarily stopping rotation of a photoconductor drum 1 after image formation, and then rotating the photoconductor drum 1 in the same direction as during image formation before stopping the photoconductor drum 1, on the basis of the total drive time of a developing roller. When the total drive time of the developing roller is less than a threshold, the control unit can change the number of times the rotation stop operation is performed to be reduced compared to the case where the total drive time of the developing roller is equal to or more than the threshold. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
