<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing device which, even when a chart configuration changes depending on output device characteristics, can generate patch data which does not require building patch data detection rules for each output device. <P>SOLUTION: In an image processing device, chart data for charts output by an output device are created. The image processing device includes: reproduction information acquisition means of acquiring color reproduction range information indicating a range of colors reproducible by the output device; candidate creation means of extracting colors in a device-independent color space from among the colors included in the range indicated by the color reproduction range information and then making them patch candidate data; acquisition means of acquiring patch data from among the patch candidate data created by the candidate creation means according to the number of patches included in previously specified chart data; chart generation means of generating chart data by using the patch data acquired by the acquisition means; and conversion means of converting the chart data generated by the generation means into data in a device-dependent color space. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
