<p>The object of the invention is to provide a series of gear devices and a method for manufacturing a plurality of types of gear device casings. By using the method, without customization, gear devices with different distances between the gear centers can be obtained at low costs and a short delivery period. The series of gear devices of the present invention has a plurality of size classifications (type 1, 2 ...) predetermined according to the sizes of transmitted torques, and each size classification has a variety of gear devices having an input shaft (14) and an output shaft (16), wherein the series of gear devices comprises a plurality of equal frame gear units (G2L, G2M) containing cases (18L, 18M) with the same size in type 2 as the same size classification; in the equal frame gear units (G2L, G2M), gears except idlers (62L, 62M) are general, and the distances between the gear center C6, C5 of the input shaft and the output shaft of each of the equal frame gear units are different from each other, and idlers (62L, 62M) with different sizes corresponding to distances between the gear center C6, C5 are provided.</p> |
