A data generator of the present invention includes an overdrive data generation unit and a buffer unit. The overdrive data generation unit generates overdrive data based on previous display data and current first display data. The buffer unit provides, as previous display data, current second display data received prior to the current first display data to the overdrive data generation unit, receives the current first display data and the overdrive data, and outputs the current first display data and the overdrive data. The data generator of the present invention is able to increase a driving speed of a load connected to a display driver by using an overdrive voltage corresponding to the overdrive data. When the driving speed of the load connected to the display driver increases, an operation speed of a display device can be increased. |
