<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the time required for stretching a plurality of wires on a jib crane. <P>SOLUTION: The wire stretching device 20 includes one motor 32, a first drum 42a and a second drum 42b. The motor 32 generates a rotating force. The first drum 42a for taking up an elevating messenger rope RP2 to which an elevating wire to be stretched on the jib crane is connected is rotated by the rotating force taken from the motor 32.
