<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catalyst for nitrous oxide decomposition, which exerts high activity at low temperature, and can efficiently decompose and remove nitrous oxide, even when nitrogen oxide or carbon dioxide is contained in a treatment gas, without being affected thereby. <P>SOLUTION: The catalyst for nitrous oxide decomposition contains an oxide of cobalt as a catalyst A component and a compound of at least one metal element selected from the groups 2-3 and 11-15 as a catalyst B component. The atom ratio of the catalyst B component to the catalyst A component is 0.0005-0.15, and the ion radius of the metal element of the catalyst B component is within the range of 0.90-1.88 Å. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
