1. A method of generating a three-dimensional (3D) hologram, the method comprising:
generating an elemental fringe pattern for generating another fringe pattern included in the 3D hologram for a pixel in a hologram plane, the pixel corresponding to a 3D point included in a predetermined one of a plurality of depth layers of a 3D spatial object, and the plurality of depth layers being selectively defined to include 3D points of the 3D spatial object according to a distance of the 3D points from the hologram plane; generating a first point hologram, by performing an interpolation based on a pixel value of a reference pixel included in the generated elemental fringe pattern, and a second point hologram within the predetermined depth layer by repeatedly duplicating the first point hologram; generating a hologram pattern, using the generated point holograms for each depth layer; and generating the 3D hologram by performing a spatial light modulation on the generated hologram pattern. |
