PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device that enables an automatic setting of automatic sensing and/or sensing parameter in a liquid handling system.SOLUTION: A device 100 comprises: a movable sensor 102; a vessel 101 for receiving a liquid 1; a vessel environment 103; and a signal processing circuit 2, in which an input side 11 of the device may be connected to the sensor like a circuit. The device is designed to perform a capacitive liquid level detection by an ordinary operation using the sensor, and the device can preliminarily set a threshold for the signal processing circuit of the ordinary operation, and includes a classification module 104. The device may be: i. connected to the input side or sensor by a line connection 105 like the circuit; ii. designed to perform the capacitive detection of a liquid in the vessel using the sensor; and iii. connected to the signal processing circuit via a link 106 like the circuit in order to trigger a characteristic of the threshold using the sensor. |
