PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production method of a component capable of forming a good-quality chemical coating on the surface of a magnesium lithium alloy.SOLUTION: A production method of a component includes in this order, steps for: exposing the surface of a base metal of a magnesium lithium alloy to an acid containing fluorine; removing a part of a reaction product generated on the surface so that the glossiness of the surface becomes 3-7; exposing the surface to an alkali; and forming a chemical coating by fluorinating the surface.
