PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device having a recording medium storage portion in which a recording medium used for image formation output is stored, which manages usage propriety of the recording medium storage portion taking convenience to a user into consideration.SOLUTION: The image forming device acquires an image formation request; makes a recording medium store usage propriety determining information for determining propriety of usage of a recording medium storage portion in which the recording medium used for image formation output is stored, which includes information indicating conditions for determining that the recording medium storage portion is in an usable condition; and when conditions for executing image formation output based on the acquired image formation request satisfy conditions indicated by information included in the usage propriety determining information stored by the recording medium, determines that the recording medium storage portion is in the usable condition. |
