PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary electric machine capable of efficiently discharging a coolant that flows into a lightening hole to the outside while improving coolability of a permanent magnet and suppressing wind noise during rotation of a rotor.SOLUTION: Within a recess 44, an annular partition 47 is protrusively provided which partitions the inside of a capture chamber 43 into a radially inside first chamber 45 and a radially outside second chamber 46. At least either an outer peripheral surface or an inner peripheral surface of the partition 47 is disposed at a position to be axially lapped with any one of a plurality of permanent magnets on a magnetic plate. The partition 47 includes a communication hole 48 that communicates the first chamber 45 and the second chamber 46. In a portion of the end plate 31 opposite to the second chamber 46, a discharge hole 49 is provided for discharging the coolant from the second chamber 46 to the outside. |
