PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image recording method which is excellent in transferability to a recording medium in high-speed printing.SOLUTION: An image recording method includes a step of applying a reaction liquid containing a first resin particle to an intermediate transfer body, a step of applying an ink containing a second resin particle to the intermediate transfer body applied with the reaction liquid to form an intermediate image and a step of transferring the intermediate image to a recording medium while heating the intermediate image by irradiating with infrared rays. In the step of transferring the intermediate image to the recording medium, the surface temperature Ta of the recording medium is higher than the surface temperature Tb of the intermediate transfer body, and the maximum absorbance A1 of the first resin particle is smaller than the maximum absorbance A2 of the second resin particle in the wavelength range of infrared rays. |
