PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a surface mounting connector in which positional deviation of contacts can be regulated by an alignment plate thermal influence of which is limited.SOLUTION: In a surface mounting connector 1 in which the bottom surface 2e of a housing 2 is in contact with a circuit board PB, and contacts 3 extend from the rear surface 2a toward the circuit board PB, an alignment plate 20 for holding all or a part of a portion extending downward of the contacts 3 is provided on the rear surface 2a of the housing 2. The alignment plate 20 includes a coupling portion 250b extending in the width direction in parallel with the rear surface 2a of the housing 2, and continuous to the rear surface 2a of the housing 2 at the opposite ends in the width direction. When the contact 3 is in the regular forming posture, the alignment plate 20 holds the corresponding contacts 3 entirely or partially. |
