PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a retardation film, capable of suppressing cissing in an alignment film, a retardation layer, etc. formed on a film base material, when manufacturing a retardation film utilizing the film base material with foreign substances such as a protein material adhered thereon.SOLUTION: In a manufacturing method of a retardation film 1, through conveying and sequentially treating a long film base material 11, an alignment film 12 and a retardation layer 13 are laminated on the film base material 11 in this order to obtain a retardation film 1. Cleansing is performed through making the film base material 11 contact with solvent including isopropyl alcohol by a gravure roll before applying an alignment film composition for forming the alignment layer 12. |
