PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for obtaining a Ru-substituted polyoxometalate compound easily with high purity and high yield.SOLUTION: A production method of Ru-substituted polyoxometalate compounds represented by a formula Q[α-XWORu(III)(HO)] (Q is a monovalent cation selected from proton and alkali metal, tetraalkyl ammonium and tetraalkyl phosphonium ions; X is Si, P or Ge; and y is the number of cations Q necessary for neutralization of the charge of the whole compound) includes (A) a step of preparing a salt of formula [α-XWORu(II)(DMSO)] and (B) dissolving the salt of formula [α-XWORu(II)(DMSO)] in water and then converting the anion of formula [α-XWORu(II)(DMSO)](for X=P, n is 4; and, for X=Si or Ge, n is 5) into the anion of formula [α-XWORu(III)(HO)]by a hydrothermal reaction. |
