PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make more efficient the cutting operation of an unvulcanized rubber-made belt-like member by mechanizing such operation.SOLUTION: A method of cutting an unvulcanized rubber-made belt-like member 2 includes piercing two cutters 34 at the center of the belt-like member 2 in a width direction in such a state as to hold the member 2 by the pairs of upstream- and downstream-side holding plates 14 and 16, moving the cutters 34 heading for both ends of the member 2 in the width direction along the extending direction of the cutting-scheduled places, and cutting the member 2 between the above holding plates 14 and 16 at the cutting-scheduled places. After cutting, the pair of downstream-side holding plates 16 are moved from the holding position P16' to the spaced position P16'' of the downstream-side holding plate by the movement part 22 thereof. The cut belt-like member 2 is separated off from the member 2 held by the pair of upstream-side holding plates 14 depending on the downward movement of the pair of downstream-side holding plates 16. |
