PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new image forming device in which power consumed by a head drive circuit can be suppressed.SOLUTION: An image forming device, in which a plurality of printing heads are arranged in parallel in a width direction of a recording paper, includes: nozzle determination means that determines previously nozzles of the printing heads to be involved in printing of image data 500; nozzle determining means for executing empty discharge that determines nozzles for executing empty discharge from the nozzles to be involved in printing of the image data 500; and empty discharge executing means that executes empty discharge of the nozzle determined by the nozzle determining means for executing empty discharge before the printing of the image data 500 is executed. |
