PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain the amount of information flowing through a communication network between a plurality of systems in the case where functions such as demand forecast and demand adjustment are distributed to the plurality of systems.SOLUTION: An energy demand management device comprises: a storage unit for storing the amount of target total demand which is a target value of the amount of total demand for energy by a plurality of demand systems and plan information on each of the plurality of demand systems for each of a plurality of time points; and a control unit that calculates the amount of total demand for energy by the plurality of demand systems for each of the plurality time points on the basis of the plan information on the plurality of demand systems, determines whether or not the amount of total demand for each of the plurality of time points exceeds the amount of target total demand, selects one from the plurality of demand systems as an object demand system if it is determined that at least one of the amounts of total demand for the plurality of time points exceeds the amount of target total demand, and transmits request information to request adjustment of the amount of demand for the object demand system to the object demand system.
