PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for calculating rigidity of a shear band in a sample.SOLUTION: The method for calculating rigidity of a shear band in a sample includes: a step of setting a sample in a first measurement device in which a distance between a shear wave oscillating bender element and a shear wave receiving bender element is a first distance (W); a step of forming a shear band in the sample set in the first measurement device; a step of measuring a first time (T) till when a shear wave oscillated by the shear wave oscillating bender element reaches the shear wave receiving bender element in the sample in which the shear band is formed and which is set in the first measurement device; and a step of setting the sample in a second measurement device in which a distance between a shear wave oscillating bender element and a shear wave receiving bender element is a second distance (W) different from the first distance.
