PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To process a pattern drawing included in processing data represented by PDL data at high speed while preventing complexity of a raster image processor.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes a processing part that performs drawing processing, and has: determination means for determining whether or not a pattern drawing command that cannot be processed by the processing part is included in print data; normalization means for, if a pattern drawing command that cannot be processed by the processing part is determined to be included in the print data, normalizing the pattern drawing command that cannot be processed by the processing part to be a pattern drawing command that can be processed by the processing part; and control means for causing the processing part to perform the drawing processing on the basis of the pattern drawing command normalized by the normalization means. |
