PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a modular printhead assembly that facilitates the manufacture of printers with print zones of differing widths.SOLUTION: A printhead assembly 100 includes a pair of end members 104 and a plurality of rods 108 that extend between the end members 104 in parallel. The rods 108 pass through holes in lugs extending from carriers configured for the mounting of printheads 124. Plates are interposed between the printheads 124 and the carriers to enable actuators to move the plates and printheads 124 within the perimeters of the carriers to adjust the stitch and roll alignments of the printheads 124. |
