PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface mounting connector in which connection inspection of the lead of a contact is easy even in multi-row, and the components of a divided housing can be fixed reliably, while reducing the cost by suppressing the number of components.SOLUTION: A surface mounting connector includes a housing mounting section 100 for holding a plurality of contacts 20, and a housing hood 200 extending to a position where the front end of the lead 23b of a contact 23, to be led out in front of the housing mounting section 100, out of the plurality of contacts, is concealed. The housing mounting section 100 and housing hood 200 are assembled by means of a first engaging portion 40 located in front, and a second engaging portion 50 located behind. The first engaging portion 40 has a rib 64 and a rib receiver 30 for receiving the rib 64 from the rear, and the second engaging portion 50 has a locking beam 65 and a locking wall 19 for receiving the locking beam 65 from the front. |
