PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve, in an electric power conversion system using a MOS control diode, highly efficient electric power conversion using the electric power conversion system by a simple method, by presenting a specific system configuration for controlling the MOS control diode.SOLUTION: A semiconductor device comprises: a switching device; a first driver circuit in which an output terminal is connected to a gate terminal of the switching device; a diode connected to a main terminal of the switching device in series and having means for controlling an amount of charge in it by the gate terminal; a second driver circuit in which an output terminal is connected to a gate terminal of the diode; a delay circuit in which an output terminal is connected to an input terminal of the first driver circuit; a pulse generation circuit in which an output terminal is connected to an input terminal of the second driver circuit; and a gate signal input circuit connected to the delay circuit and an input terminal of the pulse circuit.
