PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging device capable of preventing generation of a level difference due to omission of a low-order bit at digital gain by a bit shift.SOLUTION: An imaging device comprises: a plurality of two-dimensionally arranged pixels; vertical output lines connected to pixels of a common column; a solid-state imaging element including column circuits connected for each of the vertical output lines; an AD converter which converts an analog signal from the column circuit to a digital signal; and a digital gain unit which amplifies the digital image signal from the AD converter. The column circuit comprises a first column circuit group which outputs the output thereof as an imaging signal, and a second column circuit group which does not output the output thereof as the imaging signal. The imaging device converts an output signal from the first colum circuit group to a digital signal by the AD converter, and adds some low-order bits of a digital correction signal generated by converting the output signal from the second column circuit group to a digital signal by the AD converter to the digital image signal amplified by the digital gain unit. |
