PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact coil structure and a technique of designing a device having the coil structure.SOLUTION: A coil structure has a first wire 110 forming a first coil portion which is wound around a coil axis CA in a first space, a second wire 120 forming a second coil portion which is wound around a coil axis in a second space which is aligned with the first space along the coil axis, and an insulating structure 200 containing an insulating portion 210 for insulating the first coil portion from the second coil portion. The first wire contains a leading line portion 112 passing through the second space. The insulating structure fixes the leading line portion 112 at a remote distance which is equal to or longer than the minimum creepage distance between the first coil portion and the second coil portion which is defined by the insulating portion.
